The Society was formed on Monday 17th November 1953 at the Brooklands Hotel in Sale Cheshire.
The very first speaker was Fred Trueman at the Grosvenor Hotel Manchester, later meetings were held at the Masonic Hall and The Waldorf Hotel. We moved to our meetings to Old Trafford Cricket Ground in the late 1960's and have met there ever since.
