About Us

We are two friends and neighbours who attended the first Altrincham Beer Festival in August 2009 with "the wife" in tow. We downed a good few pints of the excellent ale on offer and thought we could do this... so we did, a drunken idea that we followed through on.

After a few more nights of field research at other beer festivals and pubs (we lead a tough life! and have a very understanding wife and family), we came up with the plan... holding our own beer festivals - how hard could it be?

So, we need a name that people could remember after having a few... Fancy a beer mate? History!

We arranged our first festival in Alderley Edge. Through no fault of our own and with plenty of obstacles in the way it went 'not to plan' but overall was a good venture. However, the next was in Sale which was a HUGE success and we have been asked to host one again there next year.

Using only locally produced ale from the North West of England we aim to promote real ale in our local area.

We are both professional businessmen in our own right but still learners in the beer festival business. We are heavily supported by friends and family. A small company embracing fun, friendship and lots of beer.

With the help of CAMRA we have been able to provide a good standard at our festivals and have also been recommended by a couple of the local breweries we have used, to provide service to our future events.
